This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting surgeons and nurses with advanced surgical products, while being part of an organisation that values compassion, trust, and collaboration.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Product Specialist in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of advanced surgical solutions across hospitals and clinics. Your daily activities will centre around building strong connections with surgeons and nurses, understanding their needs, and providing expert guidance on product usage. You will be responsible for expanding existing accounts while developing new ones within your territory, ensuring that each interaction reflects both deep product knowledge and genuine empathy for customer challenges. By participating in high-profile marketing events and educational initiatives, you will help raise awareness about innovative surgical techniques that improve patient outcomes. Success in this role requires meticulous record-keeping, proactive engagement with market trends, and unwavering commitment to ethical business practices. Your ability to foster trustful relationships will be essential as you collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Achieve sales quotas by directly selling advanced surgery products and services such as hemostats, sealants, and adhesion prevention solutions to key customers including surgeons and nurses.
- Prioritise selling activities through effective account and territory management, which involves understanding key decision makers, buying influences, and resource allocation via strategic call-account planning.
- Demonstrate thorough product knowledge as well as awareness of disease states and competitor offerings to accurately reflect the brand’s strengths during customer interactions.
- Stay informed about current trends within the therapeutic area and monitor competitor activity to maintain competitive positioning in the market.
- Coordinate and actively participate in major marketing initiatives such as exhibitions, symposiums, and promotional campaigns to increase product visibility.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of targeted customer interactions using salesforce systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Promote adherence to the organisation’s Code of Conduct by fostering positive relationships with customers and colleagues while upholding ethical standards.
- Increase awareness among physicians regarding proper use of products in on-label surgical procedures by providing education on features and benefits.
- Engage prospective customers by delivering technical demonstrations as well as administrative product information tailored to their needs.
- Monitor sales performance against forecasts and contribute insights into determining market potential for your assigned territory.
What you bring:
To excel as a Senior Product Specialist, you will bring proven experience from the healthcare sector—ideally within surgical sales—alongside a solid academic background in nursing or science. Your empathetic nature allows you to understand the unique needs of medical professionals while your collaborative spirit helps foster supportive relationships across departments. You are known for your reliability when it comes to meeting commitments; colleagues appreciate your willingness to share knowledge generously. Your communication style is considerate yet persuasive, enabling you to present technical information clearly without overwhelming audiences. In addition to these interpersonal strengths, you demonstrate sensitivity towards compliance issues by adhering strictly to organisational policies. Your enthusiasm for learning ensures that you stay abreast of industry developments so that you can offer valuable insights during customer engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Science or any related scientific field is required for this position.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in sales is essential; prior exposure to surgical environments is highly advantageous.
- Your passion for healthcare combined with an energetic approach enables you to motivate others while nurturing teamwork across all functions.
- You possess a positive attitude towards work challenges, always striving for solutions that benefit both clients and colleagues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport with diverse stakeholders including surgeons, nurses, and internal teams.
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities ensure clarity when presenting complex information or negotiating agreements.
- Proven negotiation skills enable you to secure favourable outcomes while maintaining respectful relationships with customers.
- A valid driving licence is necessary; owning a car would be considered an asset for managing territory responsibilities efficiently.
- You operate according to global business practice standards, consistently promoting compliance with policy requirements and legal obligations.
- Strong presentation skills empower you to deliver impactful demonstrations that educate customers on product features.
