What you'll do:
As the Regional Business Development Manager based in Singapore, you will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s presence across key Southeast Asian markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with distributors to develop robust business strategies that drive sustainable growth. You will be instrumental in translating market insights into actionable plans that address consumer needs while supporting distributor teams with tailored marketing initiatives. - Define and drive business strategy for export markets in Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos through close collaboration with distributors to ensure long-term growth.
- Develop route-to-market plans that foster strong partnerships with distributors while supporting their trade marketing and sales initiatives.
- Utilise data-based approaches to derive actionable market insights and translate these into comprehensive consumer, channel, and customer business plans.
- Support distributor teams with customised promotions, point-of-sale materials, brand visibility campaigns, and exploration of new business opportunities.
- Ensure effective sales execution through distributors by monitoring adherence to agreed business plans and commercial targets.
- Select suitable distributors for each market, negotiate contracts considering trade allowances and contractual conditions, and manage ongoing distributor relations.
- Participate actively in channel and account planning activities to define sales strategies and go-to-market plans alongside distributor partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to plan resources against forecasts including shipping schedules, dispatch timelines, and marketing activations.
- Optimise the positioning of both global and local brands within each country by aligning strategies with growth objectives and cost targets.
- Formulate general pricing structures as well as promotional pricing and trade margins to achieve commercial goals within established pricing bandwidths.

- Minimum 5 – 7 years of international experience within the fast-moving consumer goods sector managing multiple brands across diverse markets.
- Proven track record of achieving ambitious business targets through collaborative distributor management and direct sales activities.
- Demonstrated analytical skills enabling you to interpret complex market data for strategic planning purposes.
- Sound financial understanding supported by hands-on experience managing profit & loss statements within an FMCG context.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities allowing you to build dependable relationships with distributors and internal stakeholders alike.
- Experience negotiating contracts with external partners while considering trade allowances and contractual terms for mutual benefit.
- Ability to formulate effective pricing strategies including promotional pricing structures aligned with organisational objectives.
- Competence in supporting trade marketing initiatives such as custom promotions, POSM deployment, and brand visibility enhancement.
