A leading organisation in the APAC region is seeking a Regional Business Development Lead to drive growth and expand market presence across Singapore and neighbouring territories. This confidential search offers you the opportunity to shape the future of technology-enabled services, including remote visa processing, identity management, and scalable verification solutions.

Reporting directly to the Regional COO, you will be empowered to lead a talented team, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and influence strategic direction for innovative products that transform government and enterprise operations. The role promises exposure to complex consultative sales cycles, multi-stakeholder negotiations, and high-impact business development initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Identify new business opportunities across government, enterprise, and consumer segments by conducting thorough market research, networking with key decision-makers, prospecting leads, and forging strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospects using appropriate tools to track opportunity lifecycles from initial contact through to successful closure of deals.
  • Understand client problem statements by engaging in detailed discovery conversations; design bespoke solutions that address their needs and prepare compelling pitches and proposals to secure new business.
  • Advise on pricing strategies for customised technology-driven offerings such as remote visa processing platforms, identity enrolment systems, eVisa integrations, and scalable verification services.
  • Support go-to-market strategies for new products by collaborating with marketing teams to ensure effective positioning and communication of value propositions.
  • Work closely with regional teams to guarantee that proposed solutions meet evolving client requirements and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain disciplined reporting on pipeline progress, deal status, and forecasted revenue contributions for senior management review.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients by providing ongoing support post-sale to ensure satisfaction and identify further growth opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends in IT, software automation, identity management, and document authentication to inform product development and sales approaches.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and network with potential partners.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in consultative or solution-based selling within B2G environments where products or services have longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing complex deals for customised technology-driven solutions such as remote processing platforms or identity management systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds including government officials, enterprise leaders, technical experts and end-users.
  • Ability to develop creative proposals that address specific client pain points while aligning with broader organisational objectives.
  • Strong analytical capabilities for market research combined with sensitivity towards emerging trends in digital transformation across APAC.
  • Excellent collaboration skills allowing you to work effectively within cross-functional teams including marketing, product development and regional operations.
  • Experience managing direct reports as well as influencing indirect contributors within matrixed environments.
  • Competence in using CRM tools or similar platforms for pipeline tracking, reporting on opportunity lifecycle stages and forecasting revenue outcomes.
  • Outstanding presentation abilities enabling you to communicate complex concepts clearly during pitches or industry events.
  • Commitment to continuous learning about new technologies relevant to visa processing, identity enrolment or document authentication.
