A leading organisation in the maritime sector is seeking a Sales Director to drive commercial success across Southeast Asia and North China, based in Singapore. This newly created position offers you the opportunity to shape the sales function from the ground up, with direct reporting to the EVP of the Commercial Group.

This is a newly established role offering you the autonomy to design and implement sales strategies across multiple regions, with particular focus on Southeast Asia and North China.

What you'll do:

  • Define and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with organisational growth objectives across all regions and channels, ensuring consistency in approach.
  • Shape and evolve the overall sales structure by developing efficient processes and implementing tools that support scalability throughout the network.
  • Stay ahead of market trends by analysing customer needs and competitor strategies to guide product positioning, pricing decisions, and territory planning.

What you bring:

To excel as Sales Director, your background should reflect substantial experience leading complex sales functions within maritime or adjacent sectors.

  • Demonstrated experience of approximately 10 years in senior sales leadership roles within the maritime sector or related industries such as Logistics is highly desirable for this position.
  • Strong analytical abilities enabling you to interpret market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity for informed decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with commercial teams to align go-to-market strategies with customer engagement priorities.
  • Track record of successfully implementing CRM systems or similar tools to enhance efficiency in sales operations.
  • Ability to set clear KPIs for teams at various levels; skilled at monitoring performance metrics and providing constructive feedback.
