Our client is a leading player in the Scotch market, boasting an impressive portfolio of world-renowned brands. They are seeking a Private Client Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a new business venture within the company, targeting enthusiasts, collectors and the luxury gifting market with a range of Limited Edition spirits.

What you'll do:

As a Private Client Manager, your role will be pivotal in presenting our remarkable spirits to collectors and enthusiasts. You will be responsible for finding ways to access these individuals, often through personal relationships or small-group tasting sessions. Your ability to present our whiskies with gravitas and confidence will be key in converting conversations into sales. You will also be tasked with seeking out credible business partners and identifying opportunities for business growth that lead to sales.

  • Act as a personification of our brand, speaking with passion about our unique s[irits.
  • Present spirits to individual collectors, using advanced category knowledge to deliver the story with confidence
  • Uncover opportunities to sell by seeking credible business partners and identifying genuine business growth opportunities
  • Work with distribution partners and key retailers to agree on events and criteria for potential sales
  • Evaluate and learn from each experience, sharing conclusions amongst the team for future improvement
  • Achieve sales through events and tastings, setting up non-conflicting brand partnerships to drive sales

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Private Client Manager role will bring strong experience in presenting within the category, coupled with a genuine interest in brown spirits. You should be able to talk confidently and answer technical questions. Your outstanding communication skills will enable you to influence potential buyers, many of whom may be senior business owners or leaders. A commercial mindset is crucial for this role, as you will constantly be seeking ways to improve profitability.

  • Strong experience in presenting within the category, coupled with a genuine interest in Scotch whisky
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to influence
  • Commercial thinking with an emphasis on improving profitability
  • Ability to identify complimentary luxury brands and convert these into new customer opportunities
  • Understanding of premium spirits or luxury is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working within a DTC environment is desirable but not essential
