An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Key Account Manager to join a leading consumer products company. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a key role in managing retail channels and accelerating sales revenue

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Key Account Manager, you will be at the heart of our sales operations. Your primary responsibility will be managing our retail channels, playing a pivotal role in accelerating our sales revenue. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans while identifying new business opportunities. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you review sales results, evaluating their effectiveness and return on investment. You will also present compelling sales proposals to buyers, negotiate with trade partners, manage budgets, and supervise our dedicated merchandising team.

  • Develop and execute sales plans, identifying new business opportunities
  • Analyse and review sales results to evaluate ROI, effectiveness and execution of sales activities
  • Present sales proposals to buyers and evaluate sales channel performances against targets
  • Conduct market profiling to identify potential market segments and consumer profiles
  • Manage trade partner relationships, developing insights from buyer feedback and market sentiments
  • Negotiate with trade partners to align company objectives with their needs, strategies and opportunities
  • Manage Sales & Advertising budgets, ensuring promotional expenses are kept within budget
  • Supervise and mentor the merchandising team, ensuring all in-store activities are rolled out in a timely manner

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Key Account Manager position is someone who brings a wealth of experience from the FMCG industry. You should have at least two years' experience in a similar capacity, including one to two years in a supervisory role. Your strong negotiation skills will be crucial in dealing with trade partners, as well as your understanding of consumer channels. Your tenacity in achieving sales targets, strong analytical skills, and ability to identify new opportunities for growth will be key to your success in this role.

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree holders with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the FMCG industry
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Relevant experience in negotiation with trade partners and understanding of consumer channels
  • Tenacity in achieving sales targets
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
