An exciting Sales Manager - Pumps job has become available at renowned pumps and filtration firm based in Singapore. Reporting directly to Regional Operations Manager, this is a role for a sales professional who is a leader in this sector.

About the Sales Manager - Pumps Role:
Looking after Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan markets, you will be in charge of pumps new project sales and aftermarket activities in the region. You will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of strategies and tactics in support of the sale for new project sales and aftermarket services, through direct sales channels and channel partners. You will also be responsible for successful direct business development, representative development, and developing strategies for penetrating OEM’s, EPCs, end user and direct market penetration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Representatives in the territory including forecast, business plans, and follow up on open opportunities
  • Travel to select customers and prospects to develop personal relationships with key contacts, explore opportunities, and solicit inquiries and/or orders. Develop a working knowledge of the customers’ process, organisation, and overall business to gain a competitive selling advantage for the company
  • Prepare and present technical sales presentations to customer decision makers to promote company product offering and/or confirm that proposed product(s) complies with the customer requirements/specifications
  • Interface with customers and make site visits as necessary to conduct product design reviews and/or address commercial issues, to facilitate a customer order commitment
  • Execute and implements programs to promote the technical advantages of the Products designs, features and services
  • Develop and drive the FPSO market segment
  • Execute sales and appropriate action plans to meet the bookings goals of the market
  • Take ownership of major projects within the Territory providing overall strategy to win the business, collaborating with other regions and Product Managers to be part of cross regional pursuits and sales strategy
  • Provide competitive updates for the region
  • Performs distributor and rep goal setting and semi-annual reviews

To succeed in this Sales Manager - Pumps role, you must have a strong technical Sales background, hunter mindset and good track record in sales. You must also be an aspiring leader with structured thinking and business foresight.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or similar field with 8 - 12 years of related experience in supporting sales activities/sales in power, petrochemical, oil and gas, water and wastewater and general industries in the region
  • Knowledgeable and experience in API 610
  • Experience in FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading)
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to review customer supplied specifications, P&ID, and data sheets as they pertain to specific job usage and apply to the equipment offering to determine best value selections suited for purpose and application
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficient knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps and their applications in oil and gas, power and water industries
  • Readiness to travel to the region (60-70%)
