An exciting General Manager, Regional Sales (Freight Forwarding, 3PL) job has become available at a renowned logistics firm in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President, this is a role for a sales team leader who is passionate about the logistics industry and loves driving the business and team for growth.
About the General Manager, Regional Sales (Freight Forwarding, 3PL) Role:
Looking after Singapore and ASEAN Region, you will be responsible for maximising profit through business development by targeting regional level corporate customers. You will be required to collaborate with other departments and network branches within the group to develop new businesses that maximise the satisfaction of regional corporate customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new corporate accounts on a regional level and promote close cooperation within the group
- Ensure the profit/loss, operating revenue and gross profit planning is set annually for the regional accounts
- Improve business relationships for targeted accounts in a regional role and promote close cooperation with all the relevant stakeholders within the group
- Develop strategic business plans and supply chain solutions for customers on a regional level. Oversee the execution of strategic business plans towards achieving the revenue and profit objectives
- Existing corporate customers: Further expand the scope of current contracts and organic growth to increase revenue and gross profit
- New corporate customers: Develop and expand new customers at a regional level
- Provide guidance based on experience to all relevant stakeholders and various branch offices within the region
- Work closely with the customer service and operations teams of each branch office to improve customer satisfaction and implementation of new processes for target corporate customers
- Report business progress to the Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director and Assistant Vice President on a regular basis (weekly, monthly)
- Collect receivables of the regional target customers by the deadline, and report at the monthly receivables management meeting
To succeed in this General Manager, Regional Sales (Freight Forwarding, 3PL) role, you will understand the management issues of the target corporate customers and make proposals that improves the corporate value and value of the customer. You are motivated to fully understand the functions and resources of the company and its group.
Key Requirements:
- Degree holder with minimum 10 years’ experience in the logistics industry
- At least eight years of regional sales experience in freight forwarding and/or 3PL logistics and knowledge of the international trade and logistics industry
- Acute sense of hunting and developing new sales opportunities and experience in acquiring new potential customers across the region
- Experience with key account management and formulation of sales strategies
- Able to convince, with proven records of accomplishment and negotiation skills with stakeholders
- Able to present and summarise proposal to target customers
- Strong interpersonal skills and networking capabilities
- Self-motivated Individual with strong team management abilities
- Good proficiency in MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is needed for proposal preparation for target clients
- Willing to travel to the ASEAN region (30-40%)
