Data Centre MEP Lead

Our client is a leading firm, looking to on-board a Data Centre MEP Lead. You will play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence and data centre development across the region. You’ll be responsible for shaping and standardizing design and delivery practices for multiple projects, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and technical integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and coordinate MEP design and engineering activities across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Oversee all phases of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with global standards.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless delivery from concept design to handover.
• Review technical submissions, validate calculations, and ensure designs meet redundancy and energy efficiency objectives.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, specifications, and best practices across projects.
• Support tender evaluations, vendor selection, and equipment qualification for critical systems (UPS, generators, chillers, switchboards, fire systems, etc.).
• Provide on-site technical oversight during installation, testing, and integrated system commissioning.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to track progress, mitigate risks, and deliver projects on time and on spec.

What You'll Bring:

• At least 10 years of experience in MEPF or building services engineering, ideally within data centre, hyperscale, or mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience working on the client/operator or consultancy side, leading design and coordination activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure (HV/LV, cooling systems, BMS, fire safety, ELV).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to liaise effectively with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Experience overseeing construction and commissioning activities for data centre projects.
• Willingness to travel within the region as projects progress.
