What you'll do:

As Director of Project Management Office (Contract), you will play a crucial role in orchestrating the successful delivery of large-scale data centre construction programmes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with project managers to provide expert guidance on best practices while ensuring that all projects adhere to established governance structures. You will be instrumental in developing standardised methodologies that drive efficiency across the organisation. By monitoring progress through detailed reporting mechanisms, you will keep stakeholders well-informed and proactively address risks before they escalate. • Support project managers and their teams by providing guidance, sharing best practices, and supplying templates and tools that promote consistency and efficiency throughout all project phases.
• Establish and maintain robust project management standards, methodologies, processes, and tools across the organisation to ensure excellence in delivery.
• Provide governance, oversight, and support for multiple concurrent projects while acting as a central point of control for adherence to established guidelines.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams and engage in high-level activities to ensure alignment with project goals and successful delivery outcomes.
• Monitor project progress through detailed metrics and performance indicators, delivering regular reports to stakeholders and leadership for informed decision-making.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly PMO reports that identify, track, and mitigate risks at the programme level while coordinating effective responses to minimise impact.
• Act as the central repository for all project documentation, lessons learned, and historical data to facilitate ongoing learning and continuous improvement.
• Ensure departmental decisions and project plans are fully aligned with the broader business plan and vision of the organisation.

• Extensive experience in construction management with a proven record of delivering large-scale data centre projects from mobilisation through handover.

• In-depth knowledge of data centre construction processes including methodologies and industry best practices relevant to mission critical facilities.
• Familiarity with CSA (Civil Structural Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) engineering applications essential for technical oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across multiple fronts both internally and externally.
• Experience working collaboratively within teams as well as independently when required—with minimal supervision needed.
• More than 10 years’ relevant experience in project management or PMO roles specifically focused on mission critical facilities or data centre environments.
• Proven capability in managing construction processes during all stages—from mobilisation through installation/testing/commissioning up until closeout/handover.
