Our client is seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Demand Planning for a 12-month contract based in Singapore. What you'll do:
As the Logistics and Demand Planning Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end delivery chain for both direct markets (Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan) and distributor markets (Malaysia, Singapore, South Asia Countries). Your primary focus will be on optimising supply chain efficiency through strategic planning and effective inventory management. You will work closely with commercial, finance, and marketing teams to ensure that logistics operations are aligned with business objectives. Your ability to develop accurate demand forecasts will be crucial in maintaining optimal stock availability. Additionally, you will lead supply chain initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily customer order fulfilment, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Manage logistics service providers to maintain optimal inventory accuracy, efficient warehousing, and seamless import/export operations.
- Lead the execution of regional logistics strategies, including transportation management, cold chain compliance, and regulatory adherence.
- Drive cost efficiency by continuously monitoring financial performance and implementing cost improvement projects.
- Develop accurate demand forecasts by analysing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring the right stock availability while minimising excess and obsolescence.
- Conduct regular Sales & Operations Planning reviews to enhance demand-supply alignment.
- Develop and monitor annual logistics and demand planning budgets.
- Track KPIs and implement initiatives to improve service levels and cost efficiency.
- Negotiate contracts and manage service levels with logistics and supply chain vendors.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Logistics and Demand Planning Lead role will bring a wealth of experience in logistics, demand planning, and supply chain management. You will have a strong academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to solve complex problems effectively and make informed decisions. Proficiency in ERP systems and demand planning tools is essential for this role. Your excellent stakeholder management skills will be crucial in negotiating contracts and managing service levels with logistics and supply chain vendors. APICS, Lean Six Sigma certification or similar would be an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, demand planning, and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and demand planning tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
- APICS, Lean Six Sigma certification or similar is a plus.
