What you'll do:

As a Demand Planner based in Singapore on a 9-month contract, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination between various departments to deliver accurate weekly demand plans for Malaysia, Brunei, and Thailand. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve generating forecasts in partnership with country managers, optimising supply chain efficiency through close collaboration with sales teams, monitoring shipment flows from factories to warehouses, and analysing supply chain systems for potential improvements. Success in this role requires you to maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, and external partners like distributors and logistic providers. You will also be expected to support cross-functional initiatives that enhance demand planning processes while contributing positively to the overall business targets. Your ability to communicate effectively across teams and adapt quickly to changing priorities will be key to thriving in this dynamic environment.

  • Collaborate with country managers to generate weekly demand plans that align with warehouse coverage targets and sales forecasts while considering varying lead times from international plants.
  • Work closely with the Supply Planning team to assess changes in forecasts and their impact on planned production both within and outside frozen lead-time windows.
  • Manage forecast accuracy in designated markets by partnering with sales teams and leading process guidelines to optimise supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure supply chain planning meets annual, monthly, and weekly demand requirements by coordinating timely shipping schedules and facilitating re-allocations as needed.
  • Monitor incoming shipments from factories to local markets, ensuring warehouse replenishment aligns with monthly targets and business objectives.
  • Analyse existing supply chain systems—including IT and logistics—to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements that support operational excellence.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, M.I.S., Logistics departments as well as external partners including factories, distributors, shipping companies, logistic providers, and repacking companies.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain strategies that foster collaboration between departments and drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes.
  • Provide relevant support to committees or cross-functional teams when required to ensure alignment of demand planning activities with broader organisational goals.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Demand Planner role will bring proven experience in demand planning or similar positions. Your background should include hands-on expertise in managing complex data using Excel spreadsheets as well as a solid understanding of long lead time supply chains. You will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities that enable you to interpret market dynamics accurately while optimising operational efficiency. In addition to technical skills such as shipping knowledge and system analysis, your interpersonal abilities will allow you to build dependable relationships across internal teams, Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and external partners like distributors or logistic providers. Your commitment to collaborative problem-solving ensures you can support cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing demand planning processes. A bachelor’s degree is required along with at least one year of relevant experience; however, your willingness to learn new approaches through available training opportunities will further distinguish you as an asset in this role.
