Our client is a leading global container leasing company, offering an exciting opportunity for a Global Technical Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role offers a competitive salary range of 100,000pa > 120,000pa with a hybrid work schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for the global technical performance of the company's container fleet, with a primary focus on Dry and Refrigerated containers. What you'll do:
As a Global Technical Manager, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the high-quality standards of our client's container fleet. You will be responsible for establishing technical policies, conducting training sessions, evaluating new technologies, and providing comprehensive technical support. Your expertise will be crucial in managing repair costs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Furthermore, your ability to build strong relationships with vendors and customers will contribute significantly to the overall success of the company.
* Establish and implement corporate technical policies for Dry and Refrigerated containers.
* Conduct internal and external training sessions to ensure effective execution of operational procedures.
* Evaluate the latest refrigeration technologies to advise the company.
* Provide technical support related to Dry and Refrigerated containers.
* Offer global customer support on equipment-related matters.
* Review key M&R performance in collaboration with regional operations teams.
* Manage repair cost performance by analyzing repair expenses.
* Ensure compliance of containers with local and international regulatory requirements.
* Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and customers across all regions.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Global Technical Manager position brings a wealth of experience in container engineering or maintenance operations. You possess excellent IT literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ideally SAP. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, while your negotiation and project management abilities ensure successful outcomes. With your extensive knowledge of Dry & Reefer Container types and proven experience in operational cost analysis, you are well-equipped to excel in this role.
* A recognised higher education qualification in engineering or relevant industry experience equivalent to a degree.
* Extensive experience in Refrigerated Container engineering or maintenance and repair operations.
* Knowledge of different ISO Container types.
* Good IT literacy and competency in Microsoft Office applications. SAP knowledge is a plus.
* Strong negotiation and basic project management skills.
* Proven experience in operational cost analysis, material costing, engineering / operations.
