About the Senior Category Manager Role:
This role reports to the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain and will allow the successful candidate to work closely with all business-critical teams across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear and competitive category strategies to maximise cost savings
- Develop sourcing and risk management strategies while mitigating supply risk
- Be the subject-matter expert for assigned categories
- Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations
- Manage effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Develop detailed cost structure and pricing protocol for each product category
- Present at meetings as required
To be successful within this role, you will need strong strategic sourcing background with experience within the QSR/FMCG industry being advantageous.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in procurement/supply chain is preferred
- Eight or more years of experience in a similar role within QSR/FMCG/F&B industry, with at least three years in category management
- Demonstrated experience in strategic and tactical sourcing
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Independent self-starter with strong business acumen
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Data/Trend Analysis)
