SUPPLY PLANNER – REGIONAL (APAC) Medical Device Salary: $84,000pa > $97,000pa (base + bonus) Hybrid
A leading global medtech organisation is seeking a Supply Planner to join their APAC Planning team, based in Singapore. What you'll do:
As a Supply Planner within the APAC Planning team based in Singapore, you will be entrusted with responsibilities that span the entire spectrum of supply chain optimisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve analysing complex datasets to determine ideal inventory balances for diverse markets, managing regional initiatives that drive operational excellence, and interfacing with both local and global stakeholders. You will play a key role in monitoring customer service levels across the region, recommending policy changes when necessary, and governing country-specific requirements by gathering market intelligence such as forecast trends or tenders. By providing expert guidance on safety stocks and lead times, you will help ensure that every market receives the right products at the right time. Additionally, you will oversee critical product allocations for supply-constrained SKUs, prepare actionable insights for cluster meetings, maintain master data records with precision, and develop repeatable processes for KPI extraction.
* Conduct formal and scheduled data analysis to determine optimal inventory balances for assigned markets, ensuring efficient stock levels.
* Manage and maintain regional inventory initiatives by leveraging data-driven insights and analytical tools to support business objectives.
* Collaborate closely with global planners, master planners, and management teams to align regional inventory strategies with organisational goals.
* Monitor end customer service levels across countries served by the APAC hub and recommend adjustments in inventory policy as needed.
* Govern country-specific requirements by ensuring adequate supply to support business needs through effective communication and market intelligence gathering.
* Provide guidance to country teams on reviewing parameters such as safety stocks and lead times, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Review and agree on appropriate stock levels quarterly and through ad hoc agreements to maximise customer service while minimising excess and obsolete inventory.
* Maintain material, vendor, purchasing, Rapid Response related, and source master data records for plant lists, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
What you bring:
You will bring proven experience in supply chain planning or inventory management roles—ideally spanning three to five years. Your educational background should include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain management; certifications such as APICS CSCP or CPIM are highly valued. You possess deep familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Power alongside advanced Excel capabilities that allow you to analyse large volumes of data efficiently. Experience with planning systems such as Rapid Response further strengthens your profile.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
* APICS CSCP or CPIM certification is highly regarded as it demonstrates advanced knowledge in supply chain planning.
* 3-5 years of hands-on experience in supply chain planning or inventory management roles within a similar industry is essential.
* Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Power is mandatory for effective performance in this role.
* Experience with planning systems like Rapid Response or equivalent is considered advantageous for streamlining processes.
* Advanced Excel skills are crucial for conducting detailed analyses and generating insightful reports.
* Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent interpersonal skills enable you to interpret complex data sets collaboratively.
* Demonstrated capacity for supporting department initiatives using analytical tools fosters communal growth.
