A Production Planner job has opened up within the oil and gas industry. The client is an international oilfield equipment manufacturer based in Singapore. They supply to the oil majors in the industry as well as other equipment and service providers in the industry.

About the Production Planner Role:
You will support the Manufacturing Manager in optimising manufacturing operation in the Singapore plant by planning production capabilities. You will ensure that production targets are realistic and achievable, and that materials are available when needed as per schedule. Adjustments will be made as based on progress and potential/additional requirements from customer/stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the production schedule as per customer’s requirements and committed dates of delivery
• Liaise closely with production and materials team to monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of materials
• Liaise closely with procurement team to resolve supplier issues and expedite necessary items for production, resolving disruption/issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate reporting of all production progress for relevant stakeholders
• Work with engineering, quality, and other stakeholders in new project launches
• Implement continuous improvement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

To be successful in this role, you will need an end-to-end understanding of the supply chain process in an equipment and spare-parts manufacturing setting and are able to work independently. People management experience is a plus but not necessary.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or related fields preferred or a diploma in oil and gas related field
• Proven track record of independence and a demonstrated ability to maintain production schedules and knowledge of production control and inventory control for at least three to five years
• Strong aptitude in calculations and familiarity with using spreadsheets and ERP systems in planning
• Team player in a manufacturing setting
