A leading chemical company is looking for a Regional Demand Planner. In this job, will be responsible for forecasting and demand management activities with customers, and products within ASEAN and Australasia.

About the Regional Demand Planner Role:
In this Regional Demand Planner position, you will be responsible for performing rolling market segmentation, demand validation, and demand planning including customer-specific supply concepts under consideration of available capacity and regional inventory targets as the basis for an optimised market supply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control daily inventory KPIs; definition of countermeasures in case of deviations
  • Review and achieve sign-off on a 4-24 month demand plan in conjunction with sub-regional managers
  • Review and aligned finance outlook projection with sub-region manager, and provide the details to the regional demand team
  • Drive monthly forecast meetings with cross-functional stakeholders – marketing, sales and distributors. support initiatives and provide input to the supply chain organisation on existing items and new products
  • Participate in the monthly regional demand review and price forum to explain the demand plan and pricing plan
  • Continuous improvement of implemented forecast algorithms in alignment with demand management industrial in order to improve forecast accuracy
  • Strategic enhancements in customer loyalty by implementing customer specific supply concepts

To succeed in this Regional Demand Planner role, you need to have a strong understanding of strong end-to-end knowledge of demand planning within the manufacturing industry.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum of five years' experience in demand planning
  • Good technical insight and a real problem-solver
  • Understand and analyse the needs of the customer and convert this into clear objectives and tasks
  • Strong leadership, influential skills, analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and a team player
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office365 software (for e.g. MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Ability to learn/use demand management software
  • Team-oriented approach and ability to work in a matrix organisation
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse and high-energy team
