A leading chemical company is looking for a Regional Demand Planner. In this job, will be responsible for forecasting and demand management activities with customers, and products within ASEAN and Australasia.
About the Regional Demand Planner Role:
In this Regional Demand Planner position, you will be responsible for performing rolling market segmentation, demand validation, and demand planning including customer-specific supply concepts under consideration of available capacity and regional inventory targets as the basis for an optimised market supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control daily inventory KPIs; definition of countermeasures in case of deviations
- Review and achieve sign-off on a 4-24 month demand plan in conjunction with sub-regional managers
- Review and aligned finance outlook projection with sub-region manager, and provide the details to the regional demand team
- Drive monthly forecast meetings with cross-functional stakeholders – marketing, sales and distributors. support initiatives and provide input to the supply chain organisation on existing items and new products
- Participate in the monthly regional demand review and price forum to explain the demand plan and pricing plan
- Continuous improvement of implemented forecast algorithms in alignment with demand management industrial in order to improve forecast accuracy
- Strategic enhancements in customer loyalty by implementing customer specific supply concepts
To succeed in this Regional Demand Planner role, you need to have a strong understanding of strong end-to-end knowledge of demand planning within the manufacturing industry.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum of five years' experience in demand planning
- Good technical insight and a real problem-solver
- Understand and analyse the needs of the customer and convert this into clear objectives and tasks
- Strong leadership, influential skills, analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and a team player
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office365 software (for e.g. MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, SharePoint)
- Ability to learn/use demand management software
- Team-oriented approach and ability to work in a matrix organisation
- Ability to work as part of a diverse and high-energy team
