Save job

A leading global organisation is seeking a Logistics Analyst for a fixed-term 9-month contract based in Singapore.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive supply chain team, reporting directly to the Global Distribution and Logistics Manager. You will play a pivotal part in preparing, consolidating, analysing, and reporting on distribution budgets, logistics KPIs, and freight market conditions. The position provides hybrid working arrangements with negotiable office hours, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments. If you are looking for a role where your analytical skills and attention to detail will be valued, and where you can contribute to improving global operating procedures, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and growth.

  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements with negotiable office hours, supporting your work-life balance while being based in a modern office environment.
  • Be part of a global network, collaborating across time zones with colleagues from various departments including commercial, production planning, supply chain teams, finance, suppliers, and third-party logistics companies.
  • Contribute to meaningful projects by preparing sustainability reports, developing scalable dashboards, and participating as the lead logistics liaison in global manufacturing or supply chain initiatives.

What you'll do:

As a Logistics Analyst, you will immerse yourself in both operational tasks and strategic projects that drive the success of the supply chain department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining detailed records of freight transactions using SAP, verifying invoices against shipments, processing purchase requests through the system, and liaising with external partners such as shipping lines and forwarders. You will also prepare insightful dashboards and presentations for management that highlight key performance indicators. Beyond routine operations, you will consolidate sustainability reports across entities, analyse distribution cost forecasts each month, design scalable tracking tools for progress measurement, and gather valuable feedback from stakeholders to improve procedures. Your role will extend into project participation as the lead logistics liaison in global manufacturing or supply chain initiatives. Success in this position requires meticulous attention to detail when handling data; proactive communication with internal teams like commercial planners or finance; adaptability when collaborating across time zones; and a commitment to supporting continuous improvement throughout logistics operations.

  • Maintain comprehensive price lists and spreadsheets for freight transactions to ensure accurate record-keeping and transparency across all operations.
  • Calculate and update freight and duty conditions within the SAP system, ensuring compliance with agreed quotations and shipment details.
  • Receive and verify freight invoices and billings against shipments, collaborating closely with suppliers and third-party logistics companies to resolve discrepancies.
  • Report and account for open freight accruals to Finance on a monthly basis, providing clear documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Process purchase requests in SAP efficiently and follow up until payment completion, demonstrating dependability in transactional processes.
  • Liaise and coordinate with shipping associations, shipping lines, forwarders, and external customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Prepare monthly dashboards and presentations that include key performance indicator reports and freight accrual summaries for management review.
  • Consolidate annual sustainability reports for all entities involved in the supply chain, contributing to organisational transparency and environmental responsibility.
  • Analyse and report on monthly distribution cost forecasts from multiple entities, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable reports that track progress towards plans while gathering insights from stakeholders to enhance operating procedures globally.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Logistics Analyst position brings proven experience in managing logistics processes within large-scale organisations. Your background may include roles where you have handled data analysis related to distribution budgets or freight market conditions. You possess advanced skills in SAP systems—both transactional use and project involvement—and are adept at using Microsoft Excel features such as Macros or Power Query. Your proficiency extends to dashboard development tools like Power BI which enables you to create scalable reports tracking progress towards business goals. You excel at communicating across departments—whether it’s commercial teams or production planners—and are comfortable collaborating internationally across different time zones. Attention to detail is second nature as you manage conflicting priorities while ensuring accuracy in invoice verification or cost forecasting. Your flexible approach allows you to adapt quickly within hybrid work environments; your dependability ensures timely completion of purchase requests; your willingness to gather stakeholder insights drives continuous improvement throughout logistics operations.

  • Minimum three years of professional experience is required; prior exposure to logistics environments is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Your strong analytical skills enable you to interpret complex data sets related to distribution costs or freight market conditions effectively.
  • Excellent communication abilities allow you to collaborate seamlessly with internal cross-departmental teams as well as external suppliers or third-party logistics providers.
  • You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when managing conflicting deadlines or requirements within fast-moving supply chain operations.
  • A flexible working style ensures you are comfortable co-operating across time zones with colleagues outside Asia Pacific regions.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is essential; involvement in SAP-related projects would be considered advantageous for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel (including Macros and Power Query)—is necessary for dashboard development or report consolidation.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar dashboard development tools is highly desirable for creating scalable analytics solutions.
  • You are dependable when following up on purchase requests until payment completion or reporting open freight accruals accurately each month.
  • Your ability to gather insights from stakeholders supports ongoing improvements in operating procedures for Freight, Warehouse & Logistics operations globally.
