About the Operations Senior/Manager Role:
As the Operations Senior/Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistical operations, ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the warehouse facility. You will lead the operations team, manage inventory, implement operational processes, and maintain a high level of safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Management
  
  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of order fulfilment and inventory management
  • Optimise warehouse layout and storage solutions for maximum efficiency

• Inventory Control
  
  • Implement and maintain inventory control processes to minimise shrinkage and losses
  • Regularly conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment

• Operational Efficiency
  
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Continuously strive to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs

• Health and Safety
  
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse
  • Conduct safety training for warehouse staff and enforce safety guidelines
  • Investigate and report any safety incidents and implement corrective actions

• Quality Assurance
  
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all warehouse activities
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and damage-free shipments
  • Address any customer quality concerns promptly and effectively

• Client Relations
  
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to meet client expectations
  • Address client inquiries and concerns related to warehouse operations

• Reporting and Documentation
  
  • Generate regular reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all warehouse activities and transactions

To be successful in this Operations Senior/Manager role, you will need strong business acumen, operational logistics background and outstanding stakeholder management skills.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of five years' experience in operational management within the logistics industry
• Proven experience in team leadership and management
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
