Assistant Logistics Manager

About the Assistant Logistics Manager Role:
This role will report to the Operations Manager and will allow the successful candidate to work closely with all supply chain teams across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out periodic reviews on LSP’s activities
• Follow up on achievements, gap identification and preparation of monthly KPI dashboard
• Monthly cycle counting/quarterly audit counting and annual stock-taking coordinator
• Actively involved as part of the monthly inventory reconciliation team
• Quarterly Free Requisition arrangement, coordination and validation process control
• Disposal coordination and following up to ensure proper compliance throughout the process
• Follow up closely on kitting operation in meeting and balancing schedule, costing and capacity
• Constantly monitor and mitigate any potential warehouse space occupancy risk
• Freight availability tracking with resolutions to mitigate operational disruption and cost
• Monthly tracking of actual shipment revenue vs budget plan
• Monthly tracking and updating of Airfreight spent, CO2 emission and Airfreight Request Approval process
• Monthly tracking of warehouse and freight spent vs budget
• Check and validate billings by the LSP prior to submission to Corporate Financ
• Contract review, refinement and negotiations with Procurement
• Participate in new system migration scoping, testing, and implementation
• Ensure proper Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is in place
• Secondary support to Customer Service team

To succeed in this Assistant Logistics Manager role, you will need strong end-to-end knowledge of warehouse and freight management with any experience working within FMCG or cosmetics industry being desirable.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of five years' operational experience in warehouse and transportation operation management
• Good knowledge of end-to-end logistics, from global to regional distribution centres, local distribution networks and multi-modal transportation
• Knowledge of related functions to customer orders administration, warehouse and transportation management (e.g. planning, customs, exportation, WMS)
• Knowledge of informatics ERP tools (SAP, JDE, APS) is a plus
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
• Analytical with good computer literacy (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating teamwork and cooperation
• Strong sense of urgency
• Innovative and able to think out of the box
• Good negotiation skills with service partners and internal/external customers
• Fluency in written and spoken English
