The latest hiring trends in Singapore’s cyber security market

More firms in Singapore continue to undergo digital transformation to modernise customer engagement and boost productivity. As a result, companies are strengthening their cyber security teams to enable more secure tech systems.

To provide more talent-related insights on the local cyber security market, Robert Walters organised an evening of networking and discussion around the top hiring trends in the sector.

Attended by around 45 senior professionals as well as hiring managers mainly from the consulting and banking industry, the event was held in partnership with (ISC)² Singapore Chapter.

Robert Walters’ recruitment consultants, Elizabeth Tan and Ling Xiang Lee, also provided an overview of the most in-demand roles in the sector. These included specialist cyber talent such as security operations and threat intelligence. Additionally, they shed light on newly created cyber roles in non-mature sectors such as pharmaceutical and oil & gas. 

Commenting on the top ways to secure high-potential cyber security professionals, Ling advised hiring managers to “take calculated risks and be flexible”.
