With a highly competitive base salary ranging from S$15,000 to S$25,000 per month, this position offers you the chance to influence regional standards, drive energy optimisation initiatives, and mentor a talented team within a supportive and inclusive environment. You will benefit from flexible working opportunities, generous pension contributions, and ongoing training designed to enhance your professional growth. If you are passionate about fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and making a tangible impact on critical infrastructure, this role provides the platform for you to thrive.

  • Enjoy a highly competitive monthly base salary between S$15,000 and S$25,000 while contributing to the operational success of state-of-the-art data centres across Southeast Asia and India.
  • Benefit from flexible working opportunities, generous pension contributions, and continuous training that supports your career development within an inclusive and knowledgeable team environment.
  • Take on a senior leadership role where your expertise in design reviews, commissioning processes, risk assessments, and energy optimisation will be valued as you nurture cross-departmental collaboration and mentor future leaders.

What you'll do:

As Director of Critical Operations Technology, you will be entrusted with overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of data centre projects—from initial design review through commissioning and ongoing operational excellence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include standardising policies across multiple locations, conducting thorough risk assessments for change management initiatives, leading audits that drive continuous improvement, providing hands-on technical support during critical incidents, developing energy-saving strategies tailored to each facility’s needs, mentoring a skilled team of professionals, and ensuring seamless coordination among regional sites. Success in this role hinges on your ability to foster collaboration across departments while nurturing talent within your team. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining industry-leading standards in reliability, efficiency, and sustainability throughout the organisation’s network of data centres.

  • Conduct comprehensive design reviews and oversee integrated system testing (IST) for new data centre projects as well as modifications or expansions of existing facilities to ensure all technical requirements are met.
  • Enhance and standardise operations and maintenance policies and procedures across multiple sites to promote efficiency, compliance, and best practices throughout the region.
  • Perform detailed solution reviews and risk assessments for critical change management plans to safeguard operational continuity and minimise potential disruptions.
  • Lead regular audits of data centre operations with the aim of maintaining high standards of performance while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert technical support during major incidents by offering guidance that ensures rapid resolution and minimal downtime for essential services.
  • Develop innovative energy optimisation solutions tailored to the unique needs of each data centre operation under your purview.
  • Deliver regional support by coordinating activities among data centres located in Southeast Asia and India to ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Manage and mentor a diverse operations and technology team by enhancing their professional capabilities through coaching, training, and shared learning experiences.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration by building strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve both operational excellence and technological advancement.
  • Coordinate operations and maintenance activities across all regional data centres to ensure seamless integration of processes.

What you bring:

In the Director of Critical Operations Technology position, your extensive background in data centre environments will be invaluable as you guide teams through complex projects involving design reviews, commissioning processes, policy standardisation efforts, risk assessments for change management plans, audit leadership roles, incident response strategies, energy optimisation initiatives, regional coordination tasks, mentorship programmes for staff development, and collaborative ventures with other departments.

Your ability to communicate effectively—both within your immediate team network and across broader organisational boundaries—will help create an atmosphere where everyone feels supported. By leveraging your technical acumen alongside your commitment to nurturing others’ talents in an inclusive setting that values diversity of thought and experience above all else—you will help set new benchmarks for operational excellence.

  • Possess at least 10 years’ experience in data centre design, commissioning or operational practices with proven results in similar environments.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Control Engineering which underpins your technical expertise.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of modern data centre operations including maintenance protocols and management practices relevant to large-scale facilities.
  • Showcase advanced skills in computer applications such as commercial Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for effective reporting and analysis.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills as a dependable team player who can also work independently when resolving complex issues.
  • Display willingness to travel regularly within the APAC region as required by project demands or operational needs.
  • Bring experience mentoring teams by sharing knowledge generously while supporting individual growth within an inclusive environment.
  • Have a track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration that leads to successful achievement of organisational goals.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity towards cultural differences when managing teams across diverse geographies.
