A leading pharmaceutical company is recruiting for an Engineering Manager (Maintenance) job to ensure the engineering operations and ensure that proper engineering procedures are followed. You will also play an active role in the development, meet and report back to upper management, plan and monitor work schedules and cash flows, and work with multiple and diverse teams.
About the Engineering Manager (Maintenance) Role:
In this Engineering Manager (Maintenance) position, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and managing a team of engineers in the respective engineering discipline, including controls, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and building services to effectively support the production process to ensure the realisation of the production and quality requirements of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive innovation from ideation to realisation for process improvements, including definition and deployment of technology roadmaps, justification, and funding of projects, and development implementation plans
- Drive a value stream mindset and culture of continuous improvement based on Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Manage resource planning, project planning, budgeting, expense priorities, performance management, and working through team managers to achieve results
- Lead and coordinate with global and local cross-functional project groups to develop and provide product and process design recommendations
- Direct and control the maintenance of site equipment and facility to high GMP standard
- Continuously review and upgrade the engineering processes and control in line with the site and regulatory requirements
- Monitor, manage, and operate the site’s utility system to ensure the provision of a constant and reliable supply of electricity and utilities to the production facilities
To succeed in this Engineering Manager (Maintenance) role, you will need to have strong interpersonal communication skills. Along with a high level of management skills to oversee the production. Committed to achieving efficient and safe operation in line with the company’s high level of technical standards.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics engineering or equivalent
- At least 15 years' experience in technical, engineering, quality, and/or manufacturing leadership roles within pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations
