A newly created Brand Manager APAC job has just become available at a global consumer goods (confectionery) company.
About the Brand Manager APAC Role:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager APAC, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining, and designing the regional marketing plan and strategies alongside with various stakeholders to involved. Based in Singapore, the successful candidate will define, design and execute the marketing strategy for the different brands all over Asia Pacific centrally and locally by supporting the distributors from these different countries to develop the business through the marketing mix (products, pricing, promotions, placement) and the implementation of the marketing tools (events, loyalty programmes, digital, promotions, selling tools, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, design the local annual marketing plan for each market
- Adapt the marketing strategies from the head office to the region (with local adaptations if necessary)
- Forecast, record and report the regional marketing budget
- Define, design and execute the communication strategy and planning plan for the region (yearly and long term)
- Prepare, adapt and update the content for social media platforms (website, IG, FB) for the region
- Prepare and develop media actions for the region (online/print ads, etc.)
- Adapt and diffuse product news and brand contents internally to APAC team and externally to distributors
- Define and execute the loyalty programme strategy and planning
- Develop and adapt central and local marketing, communication tools and gifts
- Work hand-in-hand with the trade marketing, BDs and distributors on the ‘operational’ aspect of the programme (e.g. briefing, arrangement of deliveries, etc.)
- Assist the BDs in following up with members’ questions and requests
- Manage sales tools (sales books, product descriptions, marketing sheets, etc) for ‘daily’ commercial actions
- Manage 360° Annual APAC launch of the year (adapt and develop tools for launch and events with the Brand Manager and APAC chefs, work hand-in-hand with them and BDs for communication of info, event organisation, logistic issues, etc.)
- Ensure promotions are carried out in various markets (flyers, newsletters, recipe layouts, specific booklets, gift ordering, gift development, etc.)
- Manage trade shows in the region
- Manage pastry activities in the region (co-developing with chefs)
- Manage sponsoring events in the region
- Manage the launch of new brands
- Adapt and diffuse product news (arrival of new products, change of recipes or packaging, discontinuation, factory break, etc.) and latest brand news to the APAC team and distributors
- Respond to BD and distributor enquiries on any product/tools information
- Coordinate training for the sales force and chefs
- Report/transmit information regarding to all concerned countries to the head office where appropriate actions will be made to ensure business growth
- Construct a long-term plan with the head office by providing accurate and sufficient information of all concerned markets to make sure that the interests of the region are respected and are considered
- Communicate for local long-term plans
- Implement and adapt strategies from HQ locally
To succeed in this Brand Manager APAC role, you will need to be a creative marketer with good understanding of marketing trends.
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience working and marketing through distributors
- Rooted knowledge of the SEA market
- Extremely well organised in order to stick with the deadlines for sharing the reports to the APAC team
- Priority setting: be capable to evaluate the priority/importance of the duties in order to focus first on the most relevant priorities while managing expectations from managers/the team
- Work directly with distributors in order to share all the relevant information (new products, brand news) and answer any enquiries
- Demonstrate a passion for gourmet food and the F&B universe, able to relate to distributors’ environment
- Experience working in a multifunctional and multicultural team as well as business environment, working along both local and international colleagues, partners and clients
