They are currently seeking a Consumer and Shopper Understanding Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role will be instrumental in managing consumer research projects for one of their power brands as well as new cross-category innovations in the Asia Pacific region.

What you'll do:

As a Consumer and Shopper Understanding Manager, your role will be pivotal in understanding market and consumer behaviour patterns. You will be responsible for planning and executing consumer research projects, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and strategy. Your ability to report on company indicators, market performance of products, as well as behaviour and preferences of target consumers will be crucial in monitoring product performance against key company indicators. Your insights will drive business strategy, communications, pricing, media investments, retail, go-to-market strategies and more.

  • Plan and execute consumer research projects aligned with business objectives and strategy
  • Report on company indicators and market performance of products
  • Provide insights through consolidation and analysis of existing information
  • Drive insights into action to improve business results
  • Finalize market research brief documents and brief research agencies
  • Collect and interpret findings, creating clear insights-driven presentations addressing business/marketing issues
  • Organise and coordinate fixed/mobile panel studies at points of sale for different channels
  • Manage effective relationships with internal customers and external suppliers to ensure project delivery

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Consumer and Shopper Understanding Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in FMCG consumer insights. You should have extensive experience leading both quantitative and qualitative research projects. Your hands-on experience in business intelligence/analytics coupled with your excellent consolidation skills will enable you to integrate information from multiple sources effectively. Your strong project management skills will ensure that you can manage complex projects efficiently. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Nielsen software, and experience with data visualization tools will be essential for this role.

  • University degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Marketing or relevant quantitative field
  • Experience in FMCG consumer insights (client-side or agency)
  • Extensive experience leading both quantitative and qualitative research projects
  • Hands-on experience in business intelligence/analytics
  • Excellent consolidation skills—ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Nielsen software, experience with data visualization
