Our client is on the hunt for a passionate and dedicated Information & Research Advisor to join their team on a one-year fixed term contract. This role is at the heart of ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of Information & Research services to both Practice and Business Teams.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of a global information team, working in harmony with business plans and firm wide strategy. The role involves delving into legal topics and conducting comprehensive commercial, sector, and client-related research, particularly for Marketing and Business Development activities.

What you'll do:

As a Dynamic Information & Research Advisor, you will play an instrumental role in supporting both legal and business research needs. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for research queries from fee earners and Business Teams. Your responsibilities will also include championing the I&R offering within your practice or office, contributing to global networks, staying updated with current developments in your practice area or sector, supporting the delivery of customised news updates, participating actively in training initiatives, and developing your own subject matter expertise.

  • Deliver high quality, value-add and cost-effective information services to bolster legal and business research needs
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Information & Research, Asia to ensure activities are in line with strategic direction
  • Champion the I&R offering to members of the practice/office
  • Contribute to global networks to share best practice and implement agreed policies
  • Serve as point of contact for fee earner and Business Teams research queries
  • Stay updated with current developments in practice/sector/jurisdiction to inform users
  • Support the prompt delivery of customised legal and business news using various tools
  • Participate actively in delivering training on information services and systems
  • Develop subject matter expertise in all facets of business and legal research

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Dynamic Information & Research Advisor role is enthusiastic, resilient, and possesses a proactive attitude. You bring strong interpersonal skills to the table, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. You are an innovative problem-solver who is open to fresh ideas and have a proven track record of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment. A team player, you flourish in collaborative environments. You hold a graduate level education with a broad understanding of legal issues and have experience providing information and research services in a professional services organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and strong numeracy skills are essential.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, in English and Cantonese, as this role will be managing stakeholders based in Hong Kong
