An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced unified communications professional to establish a new practice in APAC for a telecommunications company. You should have a strong understanding of UC solutions with the ability to sell to C-level clients, while overseeing vendor partnerships and managing the internal delivery team.
About the Head of Unified Communications role:
The Head of Unified Communications will be responsible for establishing the business in APAC, and will be tasked with building a team while being an individual contributor to growth.
You'll be responsible for mapping out the market for opportunities, working with channel partners and building up a pipeline for 2017. The Head of Unified Communications will also be responsible for building out capabilities in the practice and helping senior stakeholders to compose roadmaps and go-to-market strategies around UC offerings.
About the candidate:
- You should have 10+ years' experience working with unified communication offerings, and a technical understanding with some previous delivery responsibility would be advantageous
- It is vital that you possess a hands-on sales attitude as there will initially be no other sales professionals in the team
- Although the organisation has been in operation for over 15 years, this is a new area for the business to operate in so you should be comfortable working in a build-phase environment where the expectations of the role are dynamic
- Experience in any area of unified communications is beneficial but Skype for Business and Microsoft's suite are key. While not essential, certification around Microsoft technology will be highly advantageous.
