About the Pre-sales Solutions Engineer Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Partner in this crucial role, you will be responsible for many different duties such as project planning, defining and quantifying scope of projects and service engagements. Furthermore, you will also get the opportunity to assist, lead and manage major projects locally and globally.
- Articulate and demonstrate the product and solution capabilities, along with the value and differentiation in a clear and understandable manner to prospects, customers, and partners
- Lead the technical analysis process in understanding customer challenges and requirements, while also helping to qualify opportunities
- Support the sales team in documenting and translating requirements to ensure that solutions can accomplish the customer goals
- Define, quantify and document the scope of a proof of concept or services engagement
- Customise solutions as needed to fulfil requirements not directly available in the products
- Craft presentations and demonstration pitches with the sales team for different audience types
- Educate customers and partners to get them proficient in using the solutions
- Assist the sales team with lead generation, internal sales processes, and requirements in support of driving opportunities
- Continually act as a liaison with product teams to provide input from customers, as well as be educated on new advancements in products and programmes
- Gather deep knowledge of the solutions
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science related technical fields (engineering), or equivalent practical experience preferred
- At least three years of working experience
- Experience working as a technical sales engineer or sales consultant in a relevant pre-sales capacity required
- Must have experience in networking and/or cybersecurity
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt messaging to the context of the audience
- Prior experience facing external clients at the enterprise level preferred
- Ability to understand and solve complex problems
- Experience collaborating with remote pre-sales, sales and technical teams
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Positive, team-player, and energetic attitude
- Might require occasional travel within Asia (up to 20% of time)
- This role will be based out of Singapore
