Payroll Specialist - 6 months contract

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic Asia Pacific People Solutions team based in Singapore

What you'll do:

As a Payroll Specialist, your primary responsibility will be performing payroll tasks for one or more countries. You'll gather and reconcile data from various sources to ensure accurate payroll processing according to established procedures. You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll statistics to ensure reliable reporting, completing assigned special projects, and assisting with internal and external audits. In this role, you will utilise Workday for sourcing data and work with vendor payroll and time/attendance systems.

• Executing day-to-day payroll operations
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to design and implement a seamless, end-to-end payroll process
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate tasks, strengthen controls, and boost overall efficiency
• Ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement and on-time payment and filing of statutory withholdings
• Collaborating with outsourcing partners to ensure compliance with service level agreements
• Handling day-to-day issues for assigned countries and escalating complex matters as needed

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Payroll Specialist position brings at least 2 years of relevant experience in Payroll across APAC.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in payroll across APAC
• Good understanding and knowledge of in-country payroll and statutory compliance across APAC.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications
• Payroll accounting knowledge is highly desirable
• Hands-on experience on HR, Time and Payroll software/system, e.g. SAP, Workday, Dayforce
