APAC Benefits Specialist (7 months contract)

What you'll do:
As a Benefits Specialist based in Singapore within the APAC team, you will be at the heart of administering comprehensive benefits programmes that include health insurance, retirement plans, risk coverage, leaves of absence, vacation policies, holidays, and more.
- Maintain and support APAC benefits programmes including health and risk insurance, retirement/pension plans, and leaves of absence by ensuring seamless administration and compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships with benefits brokers and other partners to guarantee high-quality service delivery across all programmes.
- Assist in completing annual renewals, facilitating vendor changes, and supporting new programme expansion initiatives to keep offerings competitive.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees with benefits enquiries and leave of absence requests, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
- Enhance employee-facing benefits content and communications so that information is accessible, accurate, and engaging for all staff members.
- Make data-based recommendations on plan provisions and design to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining competitive benefits offerings.
- Support benefits integrations during mergers and acquisitions by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions.
- Participate in benefits surveys and benchmarking exercises to inform recommendations that maintain the organisation’s position as an employer of choice.
- Oversee vacation, holidays, and various other time-off programmes by managing policies and processes efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with partner teams from Payroll, Legal, Mobility, Systems, and People Operations to manage policies, resolve issues, and implement improvements.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Benefits Specialist role brings substantial experience in administering corporate benefit schemes across health insurance plans, retirement/pension arrangements, risk coverage options as well as leave management.
- At least five years’ proven experience administering benefits programmes including health insurance plans, retirement/pension schemes, risk coverage options, and leaves of absence within a corporate environment.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Mac OS as well as Google suite applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) for efficient workflow management.
- Hands-on experience with Workday benefits modules including time off/absence management systems for streamlined operations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that blend professionalism with friendliness when interacting with colleagues or vendors.
- Strong project management abilities demonstrated through successful execution of concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Outstanding organisational skills paired with superb attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and process adherence.
- Advanced analytical capabilities enabling you to make data-driven recommendations regarding plan design or provision adjustments.
- Discretion in handling confidential or sensitive data coupled with sound judgment when navigating complex situations.
- Ability to excel as a dependable team player who thrives on cross-functional collaboration across diverse departments.
- Experience managing global or multi-region benefits programmes is highly desirable for understanding regional nuances.
