An exciting Payroll & Benefits Manager job has just become available at one of the most respected global firms operating in the pharma industry. This role reports to the HR Director and is a role for a HR professional who is an expert in their field.

About the Payroll & Benefits Manager Role:
This role will take lead APAC markets(SG/MY/ID/TH/IN/ID/KR/VN) payroll and benefits team to ensure a quality payroll and benefits operations. You will lead regional Payroll projects local deployment, manage internal and external payroll and benefits processes, including ongoing supplier relationship management, migrating payroll ownership and suppliers in accordance with MSD’s global and regional payroll strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the main escalation point for all country payroll and benefits issues in relation to service delivery within the business
  • Manage all escalated Payroll & Benefits delivery issues and resolve on time
  • Create clearly defined performance parameters that are agreed upon by all parties involved
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, define or approve/disapprove change control processes
  • Ensure that strong organisational structure and processes are put in place to manage and track relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with all suppliers
  • Manage suppliers to ensure high quality of service delivery across benefits and payroll
  • Manage SLA definition, service level monitoring and provides operational feedback to inform supplier negotiations, in alignment with global the Payroll Strategy Lead

To succeed in this Payroll & Benefits Manager role, you will need to have proven stakeholder management skills, be agile and open to trying new ideas and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting and business administration qualifications
  • Six to eight years of experience in a complex multinational business environment, with a focus on payroll and benefits operations for Asia countries and leading regional team for at least two to three years
  • Experience with ADP global view and streamline services delivery is preferred
  • Solid experience working in a matrix HR operating model, with a centralised HR service delivery organisation, demonstrated experience in managing outsourced and insourced service delivery in a team leader function (ideally in human resources, payroll or benefits administration)
  • Proven payroll operations experience for China. Other APAC countries experience is preferred
