The job market for sales roles in Singapore remained healthy in 2016, with replacement positions driving hiring activity in the retail sector. There was a surge in demand for professionals with digital skills.
This was among the key findings of our latest Salary Survey 2017.
We foresee a similar trend in 2017, with more employers set to seek quality sales people as well as digital marketing candidates across all sectors.
Salary increments for sales and marketing job movers ranged from 10 - 15% increase on base salaries in 2016.
We expect 2017 to be similiar, with some in-demand specialists such as digital marketers likely to attract even higher increments.
Overall, the outlook for hiring in 2017 is conservative and we predict hring managers will look for candidates who can demonstrate career stability and long-term commitment.
