As more companies in Singapore undergo business transformations or mergers and acquisitions, they are looking for HR experts proficient in talent and change management.
Talent managers with strong analytical skills and regional experience will especially be in demand in 2017. Local SMEs will also value hybrid candidates who can think strategically and provide hands-on support.
This was among the key findings of our latest Salary Survey 2017.
The report added local employers are also seeking learning and development professionals with strong digital experience in order to revamp and improve the digital capabilities of their organisations.
Compensation and benefits specialists, specifically those with regional expertise, will also be in demand.
However, as firms face budget restraints and the need to streamline HR teams, internal promotions for senior roles will be favoured over external hires.
Overall, salaries are expected to remain the same across all industries for HR professionals in 2017.
