An exciting Head of Operations job opportunity has just opened up at an international school. The role is responsible for leading the operations team to provide smooth, efficient, and effective operational support for the school. You are also responsible for providing strategic leadership in formulating, developing, and executing strategies and programs as part of the overall strategic direction of the school.
About the Head of Operations Role:
In this Head of Operations position, you will plan, directs, and manages the performance of internal operations, to maintain and develop business growth in accordance with the overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Facilities Manager to provide excellent and prompt facility management services, building-related equipment maintenance, and M&E services
- Oversee the management of the budget and cyclical maintenance of building fabric and M&E assets/equipment within the premises
- Build and maintain good relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- Forecast the HR budget on headcount, payroll, and other related HR costs
- Monitor the school’s budget vs actual spent and highlight issues to management for the purposes of driving efficiency and continuous improvements
- Maintain appropriate controls to ensure costs are within budgeted levels set based on projected learner numbers
- Implement and assist in the development, review, and maintenance of various policies including Health and Safety, Security, and Environmental
- Ensure that the school meets best practices in risk management
To succeed in this Head of Operations role, you need to have a strong understanding of strong operations experience and knowledge within the education industry.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in business management
- Minimum of 15 years' experience with similar work experience
- Understands and able to analyse the needs of the customer and convert this into clear objectives and tasks
- Strong leadership, influential skills and analytical mindset
- Understands work operational systems, procedures, standards, and practices in various areas of supervision
- Understands and able to interpret financial statements and reporting
