A newly created Singapore-based Regional Country Head job has just become available at a fast-growing sporting goods and retail company. Headquartered in the US, the company is now looking to expand its business within the SEA region.
About the Regional Country Head Role:
Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you will be responsible for setting up and leading a team from scratch. You will be responsible for growing the business in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate general management experience in the retail and e-commerce sectors
- Successfully operate businesses in the South-East Asian region including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
- Manage teams across multiple countries/cultures
- Handle brand management
- BE an excellent coach and mentor to staff
- Get hands dirty and be comfortable with deep diving specific detail when required
- Be commercially savvy and set the strategic direction of the business with the APAC Managing Director and the APAC Director team
- Financially adept and demonstrate strong analytical mindset that drives efficiency to challenge the status quo
To be successful in this Regional Country Head role, you will need to be an entrepreneurial business leader who has prior experience in leading the business for all aspects of successful management and operation of the SEA business.
