What you'll do:
As a Risk Analyst (Contract, Non-Traded Risk), you will play a crucial role in supporting the risk analytics team with the preparation and validation of liquidity regulatory reports.
- Support the risk analytics team by preparing liquidity regulatory reports through meticulous data extraction, compilation, and validation processes.
- Assist in updating report templates, calculation worksheets, and supporting schedules used for liquidity risk analytics to ensure all information is current and accurate.
- Provide ad-hoc support for liquidity risk monitoring activities as required by the team, contributing to ongoing oversight of key metrics.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams to obtain necessary information for comprehensive reporting.
- Perform reconciliation between risk systems, finance records, and reporting templates to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across all sources.
- Investigate and document any data discrepancies or reporting breaks thoroughly, maintaining clear explanations for variances found during analysis.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all regulatory reporting processes to facilitate internal review, audits, and regulatory queries.
- Compile reporting data such as Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), ensuring timely delivery of accurate information.
- Ensure supporting files are properly maintained for both internal review purposes and external regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to the overall accuracy and completeness of liquidity risk metrics by providing dependable analytical support throughout the reporting cycle.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Risk Analyst (Contract, Non-Traded Risk) position brings:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or any numerate discipline is preferred.
- Experience using SQL or Python or similar programming languages is highly desirable for efficient data extraction and analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills enable you to co-operate effectively with cross-functional teams including Finance, Treasury, and Risk departments.
- Excellent organisational abilities help you maintain thorough documentation and audit trails required for regulatory submissions.
- Attention to detail ensures accuracy when compiling reporting data such as LCR and NSFR metrics.
- Analytical mindset allows you to investigate discrepancies methodically and provide clear explanations for variances found during reconciliation processes.
