This role offers you the opportunity to nurture and grow meaningful client relationships, focusing on providing exceptional service to both existing and prospective clients within the Asia-Pacific region. You will be at the heart of a supportive network, working closely with institutional partners and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet diverse client needs. The organisation values your commitment to high-class service, your ability to connect with stakeholders, and your dedication to maintaining accuracy and trust. With flexible working opportunities and a culture that encourages professional growth, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a communal environment where teamwork and interpersonal skills are celebrated.

  • Join a reputable financial institution in Singapore with a strong presence across Asia-Pacific, offering you the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in wealth management.
  • Benefit from flexible working opportunities and a supportive leadership team that prioritises training opportunities, knowledge sharing, and personal development.
  • Play a key role in expanding the firm's product offerings and market reach while building lasting relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and institutional partners.

What you'll do:

As an External Asset Manager Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering enduring partnerships with both individual clients and institutional partners throughout Asia-Pacific. Your daily activities will centre around providing attentive support, guiding clients through onboarding processes, and collaborating across departments to deliver tailored solutions that address evolving needs. Success in this role hinges on your ability to build rapport through empathy, maintain meticulous attention to detail during compliance reviews, and proactively seek out opportunities for growth. You will be empowered to represent the organisation at industry events, contribute valuable insights during strategic discussions, and participate in projects that expand product offerings—all while nurturing a network built on trust, reliability, and shared success.

  • Develop and maintain robust client relationships by delivering attentive customer service to existing clients, aiming to increase their share of wallet through thoughtful engagement.
  • Take full responsibility for the account opening process for end-clients of institutional partners, ensuring thorough documentation review and accurate compliance submissions.
  • Proactively engage with clients to grow assets under management (AuM) and revenues, while identifying new business development opportunities among prospective partners and clients.
  • Serve as the senior account manager and primary day-to-day contact for your clients, managing all aspects of client relationships within the wider institutional community in Asia-Pacific.
  • Participate actively as a member of the Institutional Sales team, contributing insights during regular market landscape updates and competitive analysis sessions with management.
  • Collaborate on key internal projects focused on introducing new products or expanding services tailored for the target market, supporting strategic growth initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within both existing and new client relationships by leveraging your consultative approach and market knowledge.
  • Represent the firm at networking events and industry conferences to enhance business presence, build connections, and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Engage deeply with clients to understand their unique needs, developing bespoke solutions in partnership with various internal departments locally and at headquarters.
  • Utilise effective communication skills to articulate complex strategies clearly to clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and outcomes.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the External Asset Manager Relationship Manager position brings extensive experience from private wealth management or similar roles within regulated financial institutions. Your background equips you with deep market insight as well as practical knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to Singapore’s regulatory landscape. You possess outstanding communication skills to connect meaningfully with diverse clients. Your proven track record demonstrates reliability through meticulous attention to detail when reviewing documentation or conducting KYC checks. You thrive in environments where collaboration is valued but can also operate autonomously when necessary. Your empathetic approach ensures that every interaction builds trust while your responsiveness guarantees prompt resolution of client queries. By combining these qualities with your proactive attitude towards business development, you are well-positioned to excel in this role.

  • 6-8 years of proven experience in private wealth management or client relationship management within a financial institution licensed by MAS or equivalent jurisdiction supervision.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial markets combined with expertise in wealth management practices—ideally gained from a private banking background.
  • Exceptional work ethic demonstrated by high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and dependability when handling sensitive client information.
  • Commitment to building strong rapport with clients through a client-first approach that emphasises trustworthiness, empathy, and high-class service delivery.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within teams while also being able to work independently under pressure when needed.
  • Responsiveness in addressing client inquiries promptly with sensitivity towards their concerns; adept at resolving issues efficiently.
  • Proactive mindset coupled with initiative-taking abilities that drive business development efforts forward without hesitation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to maintain harmonious working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
