The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trust portfolios, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal and tax requirements, and maintaining accurate trust records. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a solid understanding of relevant trust laws and regulations.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Trust Administration Officer, your role will be pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations of our client's diverse portfolio of trusts. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that these portfolios are administered in line with company policies as well as legal and tax requirements. Your excellent communication skills will be put to good use as you act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing them with high-quality service while building strong relationships. Your ability to draft trustee minutes, resolutions or any trust-related documents will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will work closely with various departments to coordinate services for clients while also collaborating with professional advisors, investment managers and banks.

  • Manage day-to-day administration of trust portfolios including opening new bank or brokerage accounts, distribution to beneficiaries, fund transfer, and investment management.
  • Carry out periodic reviews of assigned trust portfolios to ensure they are being administered in accordance with the trust deeds, company’s policies, and legal and tax requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and updated trust records. Create Viewpoint Master files, set up and upload all trust documents into ViewPoint.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for trust clients and ensure transparency in trust administration by providing high-quality customer service.
  • Draft trustee minutes, resolutions, or any trust related documents.
  • Administer trusts and foundations, including its underlying structure and portfolios.
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate services for clients.
  • Collaborate with professional advisors, investment managers and banks in the management of the assets of the trusts and foundations.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Trust Administration Officer position brings about 5 years of experience in Trust Administration or a similar field. You hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting or a relevant field. Your solid understanding of trust laws and regulations related to trusts, estate planning, taxation and fiduciary responsibilities will be crucial in this role. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will aid you in managing the trust portfolios effectively. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. The ability to work discreetly with utmost confidentiality is essential in this role to protect clients' data. A STEP qualification would be an added advantage.

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in Trust Administration or a relevant field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting or a relevant field.
  • Solid understanding of relevant trust laws and regulations related to trusts, estate planning, taxation and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work discreetly with utmost confidentiality protecting clients' data.
  • STEP qualification would be an added advantage.
