Operations Analyst

What you'll do:

As an Operations Analyst based in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of payments operations by driving the successful execution of ISO20022 MEPS+ enhancements.

• Execute comprehensive end-to-end testing for ISO20022 MEPS+ enhancements, including tasks such as ISO Rich Data Restoration and Hybrid Address processing to ensure robust system performance.
• Develop, refine, and execute detailed test cases based on functional requirements, data mapping documents, and operational process flows to guarantee thorough coverage of all scenarios.
• Perform system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) with a focus on MEPS+ clearing workflows as well as internal payment processing systems to validate operational readiness.
• Validate message formats and data elements for MX messages, ensuring strict compliance with ISO20022 (Rich ISO) requirements throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Document test results meticulously, track defects accurately, and follow through on resolution by liaising with Technology and Project teams until issues are fully addressed.
• Support operational readiness by identifying potential process impacts, participating actively in walkthroughs, and ensuring that procedures align seamlessly with new ISO standards.
• Collaborate closely with Singapore Branch Operations, Technology, and Global Payments teams to ensure accurate communication and timely delivery of all testing outcomes.
• Contribute meaningfully to migration planning activities by participating in dry runs and pre-production validations to mitigate risks prior to go-live.

What you bring:

To excel as an Operations Analyst in this environment, you will bring proven experience from previous roles within payments operations or related fields where you have demonstrated your expertise in handling complex message formats like MT/MX or ISO20022.

• Prior experience working within payments operations or exposure to ISO20022, SWIFT CBPR+, or real time gross settlement systems such as MEPS+ is highly desirable for this position.
• A strong understanding of payment message formats including MT/MX structures as well as ISO20022 data elements will set you up for success in this role.
• At least 2 years’ experience in test execution, test case design, and defect management is required to handle the complexities of this position effectively.
• The ability to interpret operational workflows accurately and translate them into actionable test scenarios is essential for delivering reliable results.
• Proficiency in using modern testing tools, documentation platforms, and defect tracking systems such as JIRA is expected from candidates applying for this role.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with meticulous attention to detail are necessary attributes for managing complex data sets and identifying discrepancies quickly.
• Strong communication abilities coupled with stakeholder management capabilities are vital for collaborating across multiple teams within the organisation.
