Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AVP of Operations for a one-year contract role based in Singapore. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support Group Operations in delivering quality services to Business Units. The successful candidate will have the chance to fine-tune procedures, participate in projects, and engage with various internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As the AVP of Operations, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Group Operations in their daily functions. You will be responsible for executing drawdowns, rollovers, and trade settlements while liaising with the Transaction Administrator to reconcile cashflow schedules. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in preparing payment notices, monitoring loan repayments, and following up on any discrepancies. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to system testing, project participation, and process enhancement initiatives.

  • Support day-to-day operational, settlement and administrative matters
  • Execute drawdowns, rollovers and trade settlements with Facility Agents/Custodians
  • Liaise with Transaction Administrator to reconcile cashflow schedules and monitor settlement activities
  • Prepare payment notices and monitor repayments of loans and bond investments
  • Follow up on non-receipts and trade discrepancies
  • Process and settle treasury transactions
  • Support system testing and other ad-hoc tasks
  • Participate in projects, system enhancements and other ad-hoc tasks

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the AVP of Operations role brings a wealth of operations and settlements experience within a bank or finance company. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to meet tight deadlines, manage tasks independently, coupled with your meticulous attention to detail will be key in this role. A high level of motivation, eagerness to learn, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office are also essential for success in this position.

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 to 5 years operations and settlements experience in a bank or finance company
  • Experience with syndicated/bilateral loans and bonds preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage tasks independently
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Eagerness to learn with mindset of questioning and cross-checking information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Words)
