What you'll do:

As a Trust Assistant Manager/Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of trust accounts. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of these accounts while ensuring compliance with all necessary legal requirements. Your role will also involve carrying out periodic reviews of assigned portfolios to ensure proper administration and risk identification. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships through high-quality customer service. Your ability to draft and review trustee minutes and other trust-related documents will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will collaborate with various departments within the organisation as well as external professional advisors to ensure seamless service delivery.

* Manage a portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring compliance with the terms of the trust documents, legal requirements, and fiduciary duties.

* Oversee the day-to-day administration of trust accounts, including opening new bank or brokerage accounts, distribution to beneficiaries, fund transfer, and investment management.

* Carry out periodic reviews of assigned trust portfolios to ensure proper administration and identify potential risks.

* Maintain accurate and updated trust records.

* Act as a primary point of contact for trust clients, building strong relationships, and addressing their inquiries.

* Draft and review trustee minutes, resolutions, or any trust related documents.

* Work closely with other departments to coordinate services for clients.

* Collaborate with professional advisors, investment managers and banks in the management of the assets of the trusts.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Trust Assistant Manager/Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in Trust Administration. You will have a solid understanding of relevant trust laws and regulations, coupled with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with clients and address their inquiries effectively. Your ability to work discreetly and maintain the highest level of confidentiality is crucial in this role. A STEP qualification would be an added advantage.

* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting, or relevant field.

* 3 to 6 years of experience in Trust Administration or relevant; candidates with solid relevant experience will be considered for a manager position.

* Proven experience in an assistant managerial role or managerial role.

* Solid understanding of relevant trust laws and regulations related to trusts, estate planning, taxation, and fiduciary responsibilities.

* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to work in a discreet and utmost confidentiality with high ethical standards to protect clients’ data.

* STEP qualification will be an added advantage.
