Securities Middle Office, Officer

An exciting Securities Middle Office, Officer role has just become available at a leading financial services firm based in Singapore. The candidate will report directly to the Manager, Middle Office Operations, who is based in Singapore.

About the Securities Middle Office, Officer Role:
In this role, you will part of the middle office operations team whose region coverage includes both Asia and US. You will be responsible for performing the trade confirmation and processing for European, Asian, and US clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily operational deliverables such as trade bookings and processing, trade confirmations and Contract note, static and reference data maintenance, FX Processing (non‐execution)
• Update and document procedures and process mapping
• Active management of daily issues and queries from internal/external parties with escalations when necessary
• Coordination with regional trade support groups, traders and customers to resolve queries and issues, if any
• Act as an authoriser and releaser for various systems

To succeed in this Securities Middle Office, Officer role, you must possess end-to-end processing of securities or other products, within the middle office function. You must also be comfortable working in shifts fully in the office.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or relevant disciplines
• At least two years’ experience in securities or other middle office operations within the financial industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management
• Experience in Microsoft Office and common industry applications such as ALERT, OASYS, and such
• Experienced in projects, process and system improvements, cost and efficiency savings, and such
• Ability to multitask and provide the deliverables in a timely manner
• Shift rotation on a quarterly basis – 6am, 9am and 9pm, where additional allowances are provided for both 6am and 9pm shifts
• Readiness to work five days a week in the office
• Candidates requiring work sponsorship in Singapore need not apply
