About the AVP/Associate, Trade Services role: Robert Walters is handling an exclusive mandate with a large corporate bank seeking professionals for their Trade Services team. In this Singapore-based role, you will be part of the Trade Services team that is responsible for handling all trade-related transactions including, but not limited to: checks of documentary credits and collections; invoice financing relating to goods and services; freight financing; and trust receipt.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing document reconciliations, daily counts, and various other trade processes
- Handling AML and country sanction matters
- Safe-keeping documents and Export LCs
- Performing doc-checking function according to the checking limit matrix
- Identifying incidences of error and irregularity, and reporting to management as appropriate
- Assisting the Section Head to achieve departmental goals, and taking a supervisory role for split office BCP when the Section Head is at a different location
To succeed in this AVP/Associate, Trade Services role, you will be expected to possess strong knowledge of trade finance products as well as trade workflows and processes. The successful candidate will also demonstrate leadership abilities, able to offer guidance to junior staff and support to those around them.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- At least five years of relevant experience in trade finance/operations
- Strong interpersonal skills, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meticulously
- Having qualified as a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) would be an added advantage
