Our client is seeking a Valuation Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a global infrastructure investment manager focusing on diverse sectors across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing valuations of the firm’s asset base, financial and valuation analysis, financial modelling, and supporting senior level staff within a fast-paced and rewarding environment. This role is based in Singapore.

What you'll do:
As a Valuation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in performing valuations of the firm's diverse asset base. You will gather necessary data, manage stakeholder requests, and perform complex financial modelling. Your ability to create statistical exhibits and trend analysis will be crucial for internal/client presentations. You will also design and maintain standard portfolio analytics templates while participating in monthly management calls to review performance. Your support to the investing, finance and investor relation teams in analysing portfolio company performance will be invaluable.
- Perform valuation analyses on equity, debt, and venture capital assets using accepted accounting methodologies.
- Gather information and data such as financial statements, monthly portfolio company reports, contracts, operational reports.
- Manage ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders.
- Perform complex financial modelling.
- Create statistical exhibits and trend analysis of financial performance for internal/client presentations.
- Design and maintain standard portfolio analytics templates.
- Participate in monthly management calls to review performance and track progress against value creation plans.
- Support the investing, finance and investor relation teams in analyzing portfolio company performance.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Valuation Specialist role brings a wealth of experience within valuation for accounting purposes. With an undergraduate degree focused on finance, economics or accounting, you have honed your skills in valuing equity positions, credit instruments and venture capital equity positions. Your expertise extends to building complex financial models and using financial computer applications including MS Excel. Your creativity, insightfulness and resourcefulness are matched by your ability to function independently as part of a team.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within valuation for accounting purposes.
- Undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting.
- Experience in valuing equity positions, credit instruments and/or venture capital equity positions.
- Highly skilled in building complex financial models.
- Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools including MS Excel.
- Strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to be creative, insightful and resourceful in performance of duties.
- Excellent capability to independently function as part of a team.
