An exciting Senior Associate Regulatory Reporting job has become available at a well-known Australian bank.
About the Senior Associate Regulatory Reporting Role: The primary function of this role is to manage the compilation of regulatory returns and daily ratios for the various locations within the international branches, including Singapore, Tokyo, New York and Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review and deliver regulatory returns and daily ratios for various locations within the bank's international branches
Be a key contact between the international branches regulatory reporting team and local finance teams
Be the Axiom regulatory reporting solution subject-matter expert responsible for maintaining and updating taxonomy/business rules
Support the local finance teams on providing impact analysis of all new reg reporting regulations and changes
Support local finance on the annual external audits and the compilation of the annual financial statements
Support the Associate Director in managing the International Branches Finance risk and governance framework by providing oversight of the overall control design and operational effectiveness
Manage the compilation of the monthly KRI dashboard, regulatory change summary, and liaise with key stockholders such as risk and compliance, divisional control, and internal audit
Attend international branches finance LT risk and governance meetings, bank finance risk lead meetings, and other risk-related meetings
Manage one to three direct reports, providing them with coaching, training and development opportunities to work on various regions’ reg returns
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with all stakeholders, including international branches finance, C&IB finance, and all other functions from the group
To succeed in this Senior Associate Regulatory Reporting role, you will need to be well versed in MAS and have a professional accounting qualification (ISCA/ACCA/CPA).
Key Requirements:
At least five years' banking regulatory reporting experience with financial accounting and reporting
Professional accounting qualification (ISCA/ACCA/CPA)
MAS/BOJ and FSA reporting experience (highly regarded)
Axiom or equivalent automated solution (highly regarded)
Regulatory reporting with hands-on experience
Finance and banking systems such as SAP, HFM, AxiomSL, Calypso, Murex, LoanIQ, Kapiti, MS Access
Derivatives products and accounting
