What you'll do:

As a Source of Wealth Analyst, you will immerse yourself in the critical process of reviewing client account profiles, ensuring every piece of information is thoroughly analysed for accuracy and completeness.

  • Review and analyse detailed account profiles to identify gaps in source of wealth information and corroboration, ensuring all data meets regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reasonableness and plausibility checks on collected information to maintain high standards of due diligence.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to further enhance account profiles and ensure comprehensive source of wealth corroboration.
  • Provide clear guidance to the Sales team regarding best practices for documentation and perform desktop research as needed for benchmark analysis or profile updates.
  • Ensure all name screenings are conducted diligently, with any adverse findings appropriately cleared, documented, and escalated according to internal protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records by updating relevant source of wealth/source of funds data and supporting documentation in line with company policies.
  • Assist with identifying potential red flags or issues related to corroboration, articulating these clearly for resolution or escalation.
  • Support ongoing improvements in account onboarding processes by sharing insights gained from daily reviews and analyses.
  • Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to manage multiple priorities efficiently within tight deadlines.
  • Contribute positively to the team’s knowledge base by sharing expertise on compliance matters and participating actively in group discussions.

What you bring:

To excel as a Source of Wealth Analyst, your proven track record within private banking or similar financial services roles will be invaluable.

  • Demonstrated experience in private banking environments with specific expertise in reviewing source of wealth narratives and corroboration processes.
  • Proven background in compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), sales assistance, or account onboarding at another top-tier private bank is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional research capability combined with strong analytical skills that enable you to assess complex information accurately.
  • Excellent organisational abilities that allow you to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to consolidate Chinese and English information into precise English summaries.
  • Keen eye for detail when reviewing numbers and documentation, ensuring nothing is overlooked during analysis.
  • Ability to identify corroboration issues or red flags quickly and articulate them clearly for further action or escalation.
  • Problem-solving mindset with sensitivity towards managing potentially challenging discussions constructively within a team setting.
  • Adaptability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while remaining dependable and supportive towards colleagues.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience required; ideally in Accounting, Finance, or Banking; proficiency in both English and Chinese is essential as there is a need to handle chinese documents
