AVP - Market Surveillance & Regulatory Compliance

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Vice President for their Market Surveillance & Regulatory Compliance department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a visionary team, managing trading and price risks in various asset classes for global investors.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Vice President for Market Surveillance & Regulatory Compliance, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Department.

• Review and implement frameworks, policies and procedures to enhance trade surveillance and investigations of market misconduct
• Perform regular tasks to monitor market activity including analysis of trading alerts and escalation of suspicious trading behaviour
• Liaise with regulators and other law enforcement agencies on relevant matters when necessary
• Develop and strengthen the compliance culture within the organisation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations under the Securities and Futures Act, and related regulations
• Maintain effective communications and relationships with regulators such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Vice President - Market Surveillance & Regulatory Compliance role brings a wealth of knowledge from their university education from reputable institutions.

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in derivatives trading compliance or derivatives trading surveillance
• Proficiency in English and Chinese as you will be dealing with the Chinese market
• Ability to work well within a team environment along with your strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
