What you'll do:
As a Trade Support Specialist for the Japan Market at the AVP level, your role will be pivotal in providing operational support for Fixed Income Credit/Rates desks across Asia. You'll be responsible for daily front-to-back trade processing tasks, managing failed trades and risk, building relationships with external clients, liaising with other support divisions, maintaining relationships with global partners, improving operational efficiency, ensuring robust process control, and participating in UAT and new product initiatives. Your ability to communicate effectively in Japanese will be crucial in this role to liaise effectively with stakeholders based in Japan.
- Provide operational support for Fixed Income Credit/Rates desks across Asia, focusing primarily on Japan.
- Perform daily front-to-back trade processing tasks such as trade allocation, CTM trade affirmation and allocation, trade confirmation and SSI management.
- Manage daily failed trade and risk management.
- Build and manage relationships with external clients, including email and phone query management.
- Act as the single point of contact for clients.
- Liaise with other support and control divisions such as Trading Middle Office and Settlement on resolution of day-to-day issues.
- Maintain relationships with global partners such as IT, COO, Ops Risk and Project Management.
- Take initiative to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure processes are performed in a robust and controlled environment.
- Participate in UAT and new product initiatives.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Trade Support Specialist role for the Japan Market at the AVP level, you bring a wealth of experience in the Capital Markets industry. Your proficiency in written and spoken Japanese will be crucial for engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to work flexible hours to cover the Japan business is essential.
- Minimum 2 years of Capital Markets industry experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience or education.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Japanese due to internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or relevant disciplines with minimum 5 years of relevant experiences is desirable.
- Experience in Credit and Rates related products is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of control.
- Experience with CTM is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate covering Japan business.
