Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Commodities Reporting Analyst to join their team in Singapore.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to monitor global market trends, freight rates, and vessel supply-demand dynamics to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks. You will be responsible for assessing Dry Bulk/Container shipping freight rates/indexes, contributing significantly to the negotiation and conclusion of physical freight and freight derivative swaps contracts. This role provides a platform for growth and development, with the chance to articulate the value of research to clients, prospects, and other external parties.

  • Monitor global market trends and freight rates
  • Assess Dry Bulk/Container shipping freight rates/indexes
  • Contribute to content development activities and thought leadership pieces

What you'll do:

As a Commodities Reporting Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring global market trends in Asia Pacific Shipping & Freight. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks effectively. You will use your expertise to produce insightful analyses of current and projected trends within dry shipping. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to convey this analysis through various channels such as written reports, presentations, webinars, and client meetings. You will also have the opportunity to contribute towards identifying potential areas of future growth for our research.

  • Monitor global market trends, freight rates, and vessel supply-demand dynamics
  • Identify trading opportunities, mitigate risks, and capitalize on market fluctuations
  • Produce market driven analyses of current and projected trends within the dry shipping
  • Support sales and customer success teams by articulating the value of research to clients, prospects, and other external parties
  • Responsible for assessing Dry Bulk/Container shipping freight rates/indexes
  • Maintain transparent price assessments by producing market-moving news and analysis
  • Follow price trends and report on those trends at the end of day or throughout the trading day as necessary
