What you'll do:
As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in handling payments, receipts, general ledger, reporting, and internal/external audit. Your meticulous nature will be key in ensuring the full cycle of day-to-day accounting and financial operations are carried out efficiently. You will also oversee the Finance Executive in various tasks including billing, collection, and reporting activities. Your responsibilities will extend to preparing monthly payroll journal entries, cash flow statements, and ensuring timely completion of month-end closing. Additionally, you will manage the full set of accounts while maintaining effective working relations with bankers, auditors and other key external advisors.
- Ensure regular reconciliation of Account Receivable Sub Ledgers to General Ledger and respective bank accounts to the bank statements
- Oversee the Finance Executive in billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, presentation and delivery of monthly and annual financial statements
- Prepare monthly payroll journal entries and cash flow statements
- Perform month-end closing and submit report to Group Finance per timeline in the closing calendar
- Manage and maintain the full set of accounts
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits
What you bring:
As an ideal candidate for the Accountant position, you bring along a minimum Bachelor degree qualification in Accounting/ACCA along with at least two years of relevant work experience. Your knowledge base includes finance accounting principles as well as familiarity with financial and accounting software applications. Your ability to analyse financial data coupled with your skills to prepare financial reports, statements and projections sets you apart. Furthermore, your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to work harmoniously with colleagues, students and other customers in a multicultural environment.
- Minimum Bachelor degree qualification in Accounting/ACCA
- At least two years of relevant working experience
- Knowledge of finance accounting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
